Upcoming Activities

Dear fellow members,

Firstly, thank you all for spending precious time to visit this blog. We wish to call into attention the plenty of upcoming activities that were planned for this semester. Listed among them are :

Bintulu Site Visit (cancelled)

Sesco Plant Site Visit (completed)

Shin Yang Plywood Factory Site Visit (completed)

A few updates will be mentioned below regarding the status of these activities.

Bintulu Site Vsit

Due to certain circumstances, our site visit to Bintulu has been cancelled. Many members and non-members must have been pretty enthusiast about this trip, as there are lots of engineering-related sites located in Bintulu. Our organizing chairperson and committee members regretted that this trip will be canceled. However, please look forward to the coming semester. CUTEC will definitely keep on organizing some equally suitable site visits.

Sesco Plant Site Visit

For the time being, the time of the visit set is 2nd May (Fri) at 2.15pm as Sesco Sdn. Bhd. only opens on weekdays. Participating in this site visit will expand your knowledge on electric generation and equipments used. Besides, members will be allowed to experience the daily routine performed by the workers at SESCO. Perhaps, if we're in luck, they might tells us ways to conserve and lower our electricity bills! All in all, this is an opportunity an Engineering student cannot miss!

Shin Yang Plywood Factory Site Visit

This site visit will be suitable for students of all engineering fields especially, civil and construction, and mechanical engineering students. The date for this site visit is proposed to commence on 16th May. We’ll further update you by e-mail. This site visit will help students to gain experience at what entails in a plywood factory. Methods of manufacturing, processing and packaging plywood will serve as a bonus for students as chances like this do not come easily. So, do join this site visit!

Regards,
CUTEC
